A GIRL FROM AFGHANISTAN

Born in war-torn Kabul, TorSha’s life was never meant to be easy. From childhood, she learned that survival was a privilege, not a right. Forced to flee her homeland, she faced relentless hardships—displacement, forced marriage, abuse, and the ultimate heartbreak of being separated from her child. Yet, through it all, she never stopped fighting.

This is not just a story of survival—it is a story of defiance. In a world that tried to silence her, TorSha found her voice. Through war, oppression, and exile, she refused to be broken. Every loss, every struggle only fueled her determination to reclaim her life and the future stolen from her.

About Author

TorSha: A Girl from Afghanistan

TorSha was born in Kabul, Afghanistan, with a health condition, yet her sharp mind set her apart from other children her age. However, by the age of five, she had already witnessed the harsh realities of life. Growing up in a male-dominated society, she quickly realized that even the most basic freedoms—breathing, living, and making choices—were not hers to claim without permission.

By the time she was seven, she had learned the most crucial survival skill: how to run. And for the next three decades, she never stopped running—through loss, sacrifice, struggle, and resilience. Yet, through it all, she transformed pain into strength, turning hardship into moments of growth and perseverance.
